Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

ADHI's concern over the well being of communities and their surrounding environments is part of the Company's commitments and responsibilities in implementing the so-called ADHI Principles. These principles propel ADHI to develop its business in direct correlation to the broader interests of the communities where it operates – fostering the growth of local economies and enhancing the quality of life.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) represents an inherent part of the socalled ADHI principles, through which the Company aims to be:

  • A partner to communities in order to help and empower local economies to prosper and achieve sustainability, and thereby alleviate poverty.
  • An agent for change and social development towards a better quality of life through advanced education and religious devotion.
  • An initiator for the conservation of the environment.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

ADHI CSR program is conducted voluntarily based on ADHI’s own initiative. ADHI’s CSR program implementation is not only targeting for profit, but more importantly, it aims to give maximum contribution to the society as well as the environment in which the company operates. Through this program, ADHI hopes to be able to create a harmonious relationship between the Company, environment and local people while delivering maximum advantages that reciprocally benefiting all parties.

The Company implements the CSR program through Partnership and Community Development Program (PKBL) in accordance with the Ministry of SOE Number PER-09/MBU/07/2015 regarding State-Owned Enterprises’ Partnership and Community Development Program.

The Company’s social activities or PKBL has been conducted on the base of:

  • Company, section 1 sub-section 3 and Section 74 of Law No. 40 of year 2007 regarding Proprietary Limited Company.
  • Government Regulation No. 47 year 2012 appliedaccordingly to Law No. 40 year 2007.

Regulation of the SOE Minister No: PER-09/MBU/07/2015 regarding Partnership and Community Development Program of State Owned Enterprises, through the utilization of fund generated from net profit after tax, as approved by the GMS/Minister.

ADHI Social Activities

In year 2015, ADHI conducted the following CSR and PKBL activities:

  1. Education: ADHI collaborated with Sampoerna Foundation to continue providing scholarship for two unfortunate and smart students to study in Akademi Siswa Bangsa Internasional (ASBI) – a high-school level education institution.
  2. ADHI continued to support the Millenium Development Goals (MDGs) especially the 4th and 5th Batch in order to reduce children’s death and increase health of pregnant women by providing nursing room for ADHI female employees. Therefore the Company gave support to female employees to continue Breastfeeding without having to reduce work productivity level.
  3. According to the 7th MDGs principal, that is to ensure environmental sustainability, which directly impacted the community and future generation, ADHI has granted the community and the environment the following aids such as maintenance of green area at East Flood Canal, in cooperation with PT BUMN Hijau Lestari.

In 2015, ADHI CSR activities were conducted across Indonesia that recorded a total expenses at Rp2,139,792,230. These activities consisted of several categories comprising community and environment, education and training, health improvement, development of religious facilities and development of public facilities.
